Christmas Finishes...

I'm so excited the Christmas season is upon us....I just love this time of year...I'm still decorating, just when I think I'm done I think of something else that might be fun to decorate...I know it is never ending...I love Christmas stitching, I'm sure like many of you I have about a zillion Christmas thing started and it will probably take me about ten years to finish all of them...But my thinking is do I really care how long it take me... It sure doesn't stop me from starting a new project...LOL...

Here are a few of the thing I have been working on for Early Work Mercantile...This time of year I can't seam to get enough wool project done....I just love working with wool....I have piles of wool all over my sewing room, I know it sounds crazy, but I just like look at all the colors and textures....Now you know one more of my crazy obsessions

Out With The Snowmen...

I can't believe it is just about time to put away the pumpkins and get out the snowmen....
I'm posting a few of the items I have been working on for TDIPT....I love snowmen as much as I love pumpkins...So, you guessed it I even have a snowman for each of my bathrooms...
I know my dear husband thinks it is over kill...But secretly I think he likes the snowmen as much as I do...Or I'll just keep telling myself that...






Don't get me started on snow flakes....Snow flakes are a favorite of mine also, mainly because they are fun to leave out all winter...

Better Late Than Never...

All I can say is two words STOMACH FLU......Boy, I tried to post last night but my family wasn't having it, we were hit by a super fun flu bug...People around here were dropping like flies...We had our daughter Katie and the grand-kids here for the weekend....But today all is well Jaxon is at preschool, Jordan is playing happily and my favorite Katie is on her way back home...As for me I had time this morning to post the items I have been working on for Early Work Mercantile....





These are my new items....Some of my favorite things. I love snowmen, angels, pomegranates and who doesn't love a good sampler....
Well I'm off, as you can imagine after having a flu bug I can hardly get in my wash room..
So the day for me looks like laundry and more laundry...But that is OK, I'm so glad everybody is feeling better.....

TDIPT And More Pumpkins.....

The question I have for today is .....Do you ever get tired of pumpkins????I have to say I love them....I never get tired of making then or decorating with them....This time of year I even have pumpkins in my bath rooms....I hope that isn't a little over the edge...I can't help my self I just can't seem to get enough of them...Don't get me started on all the different varieties of pumpkins....This year I have a few Cinderella pumpkins on my front porch that are great, I also have a fondness for white pumpkins and then just plain orange ones make me happy....Here are a few of the pumpkins I have been working on...



I also loved making these little veggies....I had to show you three pictures of my Harvest Pin-keep so your could get the full effect...Also a few more pumpkins....




My last finish is yet another pumpkin with a sassy bird....I think that birds are right up there with pumpkin this time of year.....Who couldn't love a super cute bird????
Well that is the fun facts I have for today....I wish I could head back to my sewing room but the laundry is calling me...I guess we all like clean clothes.....

Early Work Mercantile And More Pumpkin Heads...

Happy, Happy Fall....I am posting a few of the items I have been working on for Early Work Mercantile and more pumpkin heads...I just can't seem to get my fill of pumpkins...




You all know that I love my sew room....Wow.... I think I might have to leave for it for just a little bit....A girl can't live on Diet coke and sour liquorish alone....I think I need real food and maybe a little more fall fabric...You know I really don't need more fabric I have a pile but I might need something new and different...



All I can say is I love to sew for the fall season....So after I pick up Jaxon at preschool and
get some food that isn't 95% sugar I think I'll start a new punch needle that is all drawn out and ready for some color...The question of the day is do you think there is a pumpkin to be punch needled????I must say I am going to be a little sad when it is time to move on and my pumpkin days are over until next year...But I do enjoy a good snowman...So all is well...

Fall Sewing....And my feelings about school supplies...

Happy Fall.....My sweet grand-kids are all back in school with new school supplies...I must say school supply are my favorite part of back to school...I love the school area at Target....There is something about new pencils, crayon, markers and paper that make me giddy....I know that is probably TMI, but I love it.....
Now on to something else that I love....Fall stitching and sewing...




This time of year I can't get enough orange and black....It just makes me Happy....

Trying to sew...

I must say I have been trying to sew...But as you can see from the photos below I have spent much to much time playing with my grand-kids...The best part is I have been able to stitch a lot while I have watched them swim...While at our favorite park, there is a big shade tree that I just love to sit under in between playing and treat breaks to stitch...Now I have a pile of items that need to be sewn....Slowly but surely I am getting to them....



I have to say I am one of those grand mothers that uses any excuse they can find to post a cute picture of there grand-kids....So sorry I can help myself...




Don't you think they look like Olympic stars....The goggles are what say it to me....Best swimmers ever...





As far as my stitching and sewing go, here are a few pictures of what I have been working on.....I love the fall....This time of year I can't get enough orange and black...I have also been really fond of crows....But probability by the next time I post I will be fond of something else...But for today it is crows...These are the items I'm listing on Early Work Mercantile tonight..If you have the time I would love it if you could stop by...Well that's all the fun facts I have for today...I'm on my way back to my sewing room I think I can steel about one more hour of sewing before my favorite guy comes home...For some silly reason he thinks he needs to eat after work.....

A little Halloween stitching and TDIPT....

Hello blog land I have been the worst blogger this summer....I have been stitching on the go, in the car while Mike drives for 16 hours....Yes that is right 16 hours one way, with my needle and thread and I didn't even offer to drive once...But I did keep him awake...Or under my favorite tree while the grand-kids swim...I am behind on blog reading....I'm trying to get caught up with all of you great needle workers out there...

Summer Stitching and Early Work Mercantile...

I hope you are enjoying your summer....I know most of the US. is in blistering heat as for us in the pacific north west we are finally getting summer.....Yesterday we hit a whopping 75 degrees....I have been spending most of my time stitching while watching the grand-kids swim...With a sweat shirt on...If we have sun the kids want to swim, even is it is only 65 degrees....Oh, to be young....
I thought I would post the projects I finished for Early work Mercantile tonight...
First off is my own design...A fun sampler I stitched with cross stitches, darning stitches, a couching over dyed silk ribbon on natural linen...



Next is a pin-keep...Lately I can't seam to stitch enough of these...



OK.....I couldn't stand it any longer I had to stitch something Halloween.....My Pumpkin Head Girl is a design from Country Stitches, I just love her, she makes me laugh....She is stitched on natural linen with over dyed floss
I have my fingers cross that we get more warm weather....It feels like a little bit of heaven to be able to stitch outside while the grand-kids swim...

Are You Getting Any Time to Stitch???

How much stitching time are you getting??? As for me not as much as I would like...When I thought that thing can't get any crazier, they did...But I have managed to steel a little stitch time, sitting in the shade while watching my grand-kids swim...All I can say about that is YAHOOOOOO....


Here are a couple of my finishes that I am listing on TDIPT tonight....I just wish I had time to do more stitching. Because if you are like me, if I get plenty of time to stitch my family thinks I'm a much nicer person...Probability because stitching makes me so dang happy...

I'm still working on my Birds of a Feather Sampler from With Thy Needle and Thread...Hopefully next time I will have a picture of some really good progress on that sampler to share...Keep your fingers crossed for me..



Well that is about all the fun facts I have for today...I am hoping that you have plenty of time to stitch and if not maybe you can sneak a few minutes here and there...

Hopefully Summer Is Just About Here...

Yahooo....It has stopped raining just long enough for me to get my yard cleaned up and my flowers planted...You know what they say about living in the pacific northwest..That summer doesn't start until after the 4th of July....Most of the time we watch fireworks shivering under blankets...Wishing we had hot chocolate...I think this year might be some of the same, with Tuesday having clear skies and temp. in the high 70's....I'm not really complaining this is a beautiful place to live and I'm sure some of you out there in blog land are warmer than you would really like to be...
The best thing that has happened to me is that I have had a little time to stitch and sew...
I though I would share the items I'm listing on Early Work Mercantile tonight....
I can't seam to get enough strawberries...That being said....First of is my robin sitting on a strawberry pin-keep...


Next I'm offering two different size watermelon pillows....



Watermelons always say summer fun to me...





Last is my fabric covered box....cover in a antique summer looking fabric and lined with pages for a children book I found at the bottom of a box that my dear husband thought was garbage..He tries but he never can tell treasures for junk...
