I Have Been Away To Long...

Life is getting in the way of my blogging...I just returned home from helping my daughter  Mary get back to college...We stopped by and spent a few days with my daughter Katie on the way.....All my girls have spring time birthdays, so I have been on one big party...But now my yard needs a lot of TLC and I need to see flower planted and blooming...I just love this time of year.... I did manage a little time to sew...I have been working on flowers and flags, they just say summer time to me...

These are two of the items I have finished for  Early Work Mercantile...I wish I had a little more time to finish all the projects that are swimming around in my head...But the weeds are calling me, the good news is as soon as my flower beds are all weeded I can start planting my favortie flowers....That is the best part of the season...

Happy Easter...

Happy Easter to all my friends in blog land...I can believe it, the sun is shining and it is 70 degrees today... That never happens this time of year in the pacific north west...We hunted for Easter eggs outside this year with out coats, rain boots or muddy eggs...It was great fun!!! After our egg hunt and dinner, which we ate outside we all sat out back and enjoyed watching the grand kids play...I wish every Sunday would be like this...
I thought I would share  the items I have been working on for Early Work Mercantile....I have been punch in  fun spring colors.... 

Then some appliqued strawberries for a spring time pillow....

Spring Stitching.....

 Even if spring is slow in coming to the Pacific Northwest I have been stitching and sewing things for spring...It just make me feel better until I can get out in my yard....

 I just love the cording I found for my Fruit and Flower Pillow it matches all the wool colors I used in the pillow....Great Find....

 This sweet little chick is a design for Country Stitches....

I really enjoy fabric covered boxes, I have a bunch of then in my home, difference sizes and colors.....They are really fun for spring...      

Last is my Basket of  Flowers hanging bag , this is a design from Stacy Nash...I never get tired of stitching her designs....I love them all...

Rabbits and Chicks...

 I have been sewing and stitching like crazy .....I am happiest when I am in my sewing room!!!!!! I am sure that is just like a lot of you out there in blog-land...

I am a little sad that Easter is so early this year I need a little more time to sew bunnies and chicks....I have a bunch of new spring fabric that still need to be made into something fun...

Kindness Matters Charity Event...TDIPT...

 I hope all of my friends out there in blog land had a fun Valentine's day with lots of chocolate...My sweet husband gave me a beautiful arrangement of flowers....Also  red velvet cheese cake from the Cheese Cake factory!!!!! My Favorite Treat Ever!!!!

I have been dreaming of spring, bunnies, flowers, colored eggs all the fun stuff that gos with spring...It is still a little wet and damp around here so I have been stitch bunnies and flowers...I also have a fun bunch of eggs I am working on, but that will have to wait for my next post... 

TDIPT  is have a charity event for the Humane Society...The Bunny box is my donation....100 % of the processes go to the charity....The bunny pattern on the top is a freebie from Primitive Betty...Thanks a bunch Betty!!!!Click on the TDIPT logo on the right to see all the other charitable donations..

 

For the wool flower pillows I took quilt squares from a quilt designed by Maggie Bonanomi, add an extra border then made then into pillows....

I just love my Sampler and Antique Needlework magazine...the Urn with flower came for a sampler in the magazine...

Nothing makes me feel more like spring than a bird...That is all the fun I have to share for today...It is 10:30 AM here I think it is about time I eat another piece of red velvet cheese cake...LOL...

I Love The Color Red...

 Until I put all these pictures up together I didn't realize just how much red I had been sewing with these days...Red truly is my favorite color.....

 I have been passing the time in my sewing room having more fun than I am untitled too...It is to cold and rainy in the pacific northwest to do anything in my yard....All I need is a dry afternoon so I can plant a few prim roses then I will know that there is hope that spring will arrive soon...

 These are the items I am listing tonight on Early Work Mercantile....If you have the time stop by there should be lots of great  handmade item it see...

I have meet the nicest people out there in blog land....This last pillow was a special order for one of those nice people...

I have also been working on Barbara Brackman’s Civil War Sampler Block of the Week from Primitive Gathering....I have the first four blocks done.....Yahooooo.....I am going to try really hard to stay up with this one.....Keep your fingers crosses that at the end of the year I have a great civil war quit top done....I am just hoping that life doesn't get in the way of my fun....I will post pictures next time....Yes, there  is red in three or the four squares I have finished....That makes me even happier...

That is all I have for today....I am off to fix dinner.....Then after, hopefully a little stitching....

I am going to try super hard to stay up with this one

Hearts....

Good Morning blog land....I have been away to long....The  holidays were really crazy around our home...We had lots of company and we ate tons of treats...I thought thing would slow down a little in January, but not around here....I am just getting my offering posted for TDIPT ....I hate to say I am a little tarty...

I have been spending my evening stitching hearts....I just sat down with linen and all the different shade of red floss I could find....These are the hearts  I came up with...

I still have a couple more larger hearts that are stitched, but are in need of being made into something fun...Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to spend a little time in my sewing room...Why dose life keep getting in the way of my fun????
Well, I am off to run about a million errors...
