Bunnies, Chick and My Two Favorite Kids...
Life had been crazy around here...Jaxon's Mom and Dad have been in the Bahamas for the last week...So he has been staying with Grandma and Grandpa, also here is his partner in crime, Mckenna has been with us during the day while her folks work....I know... I'm one of those crazy Grandma that has to post a picture of her grand kids when ever she can find an excuse...I know they are mine but how could you not love those cute faces....I really think the best part about having kids, is the grand kids...You can love them to pieces. spoil them rotten and then when they are on a sugar high send them home....The way I look at it, that is great pay back...
To keep my sanity I have been stay up late at night. watching old movies and stitching or should I say trying to stitch...After a long day with the kids I think I spent more time sleeping in front of old movies that stitching....But here are a few things that I just finished to list on Early Work Mercantile tomorrow...I absolutely love the chick and bunny pin-keeps they were super fun to make and of course they are another great design from Brenda at Country Stitches...
I said before that my new favorite fabrics is silk matka....This time I did a punch needle on it and I love the silks knobby look with the punch needle....
Last is Miss Lapin one more design from Brenda Gervais...She is stitch on 40 count new castle flax linen over two threads.....She was a labor of love, my eyes aren't what they use to be....I think I need to look for stronger magnifying glasses, because I really love how the small count turns out and I have a great Halloween patten that I am dying to do that is done on 28 count over one thread....Do any of you great stitches out there have glasses that you love???? I don't think I dare start the Halloween project until I find some new ones.....
That is about all the fun facts I have for today...Thanks so much for stopping by and your nice comment always make my day.....Take care, Nancy

ReplyDeleteOh those are just wonderful and I love the chick needle punch. I will have to get some of that fabric to see how it works up. Your grand kids are wonderful. I agree, who would have thought they would be so much fun. I know I never did.
ReplyDeleteI bought those things that look like welding glasses. That is the only way I can do counted cross stitch now. They have three lens I am only in the first lens still.

ReplyDeleteThe kids are darling; such sweet, cute faces! Your Easter projects are just wonderful. I use a free standing mighty brite magnifier but its not exactly portable....
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy! Thank you for becoming a follower on my blog :) I love Miss Lapin, what an unusual project. Your grandkids are just the sweetest. Happy stitching to you and I'll pop back soon. Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful finishes, Nancy! As always. :) Of course, the beauty is eclipsed by those cutie patootie grandkids of yours! They are adorable.
ReplyDeleteI love your bunny, wow 40 count! I use to cross stitch a lot but stopped when I added more children to our family. I just bought some cross stitch material to make a few prim cross stitch patterns I've seen lately. Now to get started.
