Water Melons, Crows and One last Flag...
I have been enjoy the afternoons stitching in the back yard while the grand-kids play in the water and eat Popsicle.....Summer doesn't get much better than that...
I just love watermelons the first watermelon I made is punched needled sitting on a old door knob with a crow on top...I used six strands of floss and a medium needle it eats up a ton of floss but I love the way the colors mix together...
Next is my old crow on a dried sunflower as you can tell I was in a real primitive mood the day I made him...Also My dear husband was really excited to see that I was using some of the dried sunflowers I have had hanging in the garage....Wait until he realizes that I just hung a ton of lavender in his garage today.....
I had to punch one more flag...I just love red white and blue....
Last is a watermelon pillow...with a patch work back, three wool watermelons and flowers...These are the item I a am listing on TDIPT tonight....If you have the time stop by to take a look at all the fun summer offering that will be posted...Thanks so much for your kind comments they make my day...
I hope you are having plenty of time to stitch under the shade of your favorite tree.....
Take care,
Nancy

I love watermelons and crows too and you crow with sunflowers look great too. I was going to ask you how in the world did you get a punch needle to do those real looking seeds. :) That looks awesome.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are enjoying your summer. It always sounds like a very pleasant way to pass the time. When my grands are around I never get any stitching done. :)I always get excited to see your update.
Love your creations, especially the needle punched flag, is that your pattern?
