Thank-you Thank-you for all the kind comments from all of you nice people out in blog land....Your comments are all so up lifting on a dark rainy day... I can't believe it has been two weeks since I last posted....I have been busy filling order for TDIPT from my October offerings and trying to get ready for the 15 of November...And then there are the Halloween costumes I have been making for my grand kids all in all It has been crazy around here...Then I thought....I'm having so much fun with TDIPT why not join another site and offer my guilty pleasures on the first of every month. So I joined Early Works Mercantile.Com...Now I get to spend even more time in my sewing room...I'm a little over whelmed right now but I love ever minute of it...
I just finished Santa and his friend this morning...I love his old wool coat and pants and he looks so kind holding his reindeer...I have one more Santa all ready to put together I'm just trying to decide what his clothes should look like....Santa is from a pattern I found from Pineberry lane...

I have been cross stitching like crazy...I have a pile of thing that need to be put together...This little bird and flower are made into a double pin-keep with old buttons and rosemary stuck in the middle...I just love how rosemary smells...

And last of all is my merry drum...I really like making these ....I think I will try a couple more....Well I'm off to try and decide what kind of clothes would look great on my naked Santa...
Thanks so much for stopping by and I really appreciate all the nice comments...

A Million Pictures.......

After being gone for one whole week there are about a ton of things that need to be done around here...But, I sure had a good time, my folks are doing great and so is the rest of my family and I have to say my favorite thing is that my hair look absolutely beautiful if I do say so myself it has nothing to do with me my sister Angie is a genies with a pair of scissors..Now I feel much better about myself...

One of my tasks when I got home was to finish sewing my offering for TDIPT web site for the 15 of October which made me really happy to get home from a week of fun and have an excuse to spend time in my sewing room....I have been sewing like crazy but now my problem is I have take about a million pictures of my offering and can't decide which ones to use... I'm having trouble because I can only use six pictures....

I have done a few autumn thing but this pillow I would leave out all year.....I don't think I can ever be too thankful for all the thing around me...

I think this is the last pumpkin I'm going to make for fall this year......You know I have said that before....Who knows I may be thinking of a few more pumpkins that are just waiting to be made ...

I started cross stitching Christmas thing a couple of week ago.....But this is my first angel of the season...She is primitive but I love details...Her wings are made out of an old quilt, her petticoat has vintage lace and decorative embroidery stitches, her eyes are old bone buttons and she is taking care of a little bird and his nest.....And of coarse she is time worn with lots of love.. I have a couple more angels I'm working on I'll post them as soon as there are done....I have a weakness for angels and snowmen during the winter season...

Sad but true I really need to do some laundry...So I'm off to the laundry room...So no more sewing for me today.....After laundry it is on to the grocery store.....
I hope all of you fun people out in blog land are having a great day, Nancy

I'm Of To Visit My Folks........

I'm off for a week to give my folks a little TLC...And hoping to find lots of warm sunny weather....One of my favorite people in the whole world, Angie ( my little sister) Is going to make me beautiful with a hair cut and color...this pumpkin guy is for her as a little thank-you for a day of beauty...she really deserve about a million pumpkin guys nothing can repay how great I feel when she is done making me pretty.....
If you look up in the left hand corner of the picture you will see a ball of fluff.....And that is another one of my favorite thing, Reilly my stitch en dog...I can't believe I haven't posted a picture of him yet....He is always two step behind me right now he is asleep on the floor under the computer...

When I sew he is asleep under my sewing machine. When I stitch his is asleep on the couch right beside me if I stitch something small he is on my lap....I really think he sleeps 20 hours a day the other 4 hours he spend following me up and down the stairs. I know when he looks up at me sometimes he is thinking can't you just stay in one room I am just getting comfortable...But he just keeps coming I never find myself in a room with out him...You have to love that...

I know in my last post I said I was done making pumpkins....Not so I found I still needed to make a larger spooky and a few more small pumpkins which made me happy just another excuse to spend the day in my sewing room......

Then last I though I would share the cat I just finished I absolutely love him....The pattern is from Country Stitches I love all of Brenda's designs I have been sewing and stitching her creations for years....And of course I have a ton of her designs stashed to work on later.....But don't tell my husband after all these years he still doesn't under stand a girl can nerve have enough project to work on...(just kidding)
Keep stitching, Nancy

One More Pumpkin.....

I have been filling orders for pumpkins and when I think I am almost done I find a reasons to make one more pumpkin...This is my latest pumpkin a white pumpkin with a spooky patch.... I used the same patch that I used on spooky the cat...The last couple of pumpkins have been a bit smaller...

Then I thought it might be fun to have an autumn pumpkin....Tied with a silk ribbon...I must say I love silk ribbon you can find the greatest colors and I love the texture...

Now I really have to stop with all the orange and black and move on to Christmas or I'm going to be terribly behind....I have a ton of fun Christmas ideas that I can't wait to get started on....
Thanks so much for stopping by and for all the kind comments I truly appreciate every one, Nancy

I'm Having Fun With Finishing Work...

I have met the nicest people in blog land. Josie ask me if I could do some finishing work for her which gave me an excuse to spend the day in my sewing room as I have said before that off course made my day this is a pear cross stitch she sent me... I put an 1 1/2 inch boarder around the pear and decorative embroidery stitches around the border and outer edge of the pillow and topped it off with a small velveteen pear in the corner...I would love to give credit to the designer of the pear but I don't know who designed it...If any one out in blog land know who the designer is would you let me know........
I knew someone out in blog land would know who designed the pear and pumpkin....Chrissie (blog.. Me and My Shadow) said they were designed by JBW designs called French Country Pear and Pumpkin....Thanks a bunch Chrissie....

Next she sent me this pumpkin cross stitch probably designed by the same person...I finished the pumpkin into a bag with two different fabrics ...I stuffed the bag with cotton batting then added twigs and rosemary coming out of the top and tied it all together with black ribbon...
Josie told me to just use my imagination in finishing her items. It was really fun to see what I could come up with..I have one cross stitch item left to finish for Josie it is a winter stitchery. I'm still think about what might be fun to do with that one......If any of you love to stitch but hate to do the finishing work....I would love to help you out it would mean another day in the sewing room for me and of course that would make me happy...
Thank so much for all your kind comments and for stopping by, Nancy
