I love following Primitive Betty's blog. On her blog she showed how to cover paper mache boxes with a primitive flare. Thanks Betty! I have made quite a few of them. This one I topped with a cross-stitch and rusted safety pin with old buttons. I also lined the inside with paged from an old childrens book.

This is a cross-stitch pillow I just finished. Using over dyed floss, I added two fabric borders, and blanket stitched around the outside edge. I also added a small wool strawberry. I love how it looks in my old pie safe... I'm hoping you can find all the time you need to stitch, Nancy
