School Starts and Early Work Mercantile...

I am a little sad that summer as flown by....My sweet Jaxon starts school tomorrow, I leave on Saturday to take my daughter  Mary back to college....Our home is going to be way to quite....I hate to admit it but Mike and I are super boring with out kids at home...But the good news is I have been spending every minute I can in my  sewing  room.....I am happy to say that it looks like a orange and black bomb went off in it...That is just how I like it this time of year...I have been working on  witches and lots of pumpkins...

I have been punch needling like crazy....I find it so easy to take along with me when I am out and about....The best part is, punching is great for a long road trip...The pumpkin heads are all my original designs...

This very funny witch is a design from Ravens Haven...She make me laugh...

These are the items I am listing on Early Work Mercantile tomorrow night...If you have the time stop by, there should be lots of fun items for fall...
I am off to draw more pumpkins to punch on the 12 hour road trip to take Mary to school....I can't think of any thing better than  being able to punch for 12 hours straight....I better make sure I have tons of floss...
Thanks so much for stopping by....Your kind comments make my day...
I hope you enjoy the last bit of summer...
Take care,
Nancy

Summer Fun and TDIPT......

I am having a ton of fun this summer!!!!!  But, the only draw back is  I haven't been able to stitch as much as I would like....I might be spending to much time playing....I just love this fall design from Pineberry lane.....Plus I get points from my dear husband for using more of the dried sunflowers I have hanging in his garage.....Little dose he realize that all the sunflowers I have  been growing now, will soon be hanging in his garage...I am sure he will love the surprise ....He keep threatening to park his car in my sewing room...(he thinks he is really funny)  I will be posting my fall bag and Hallow's eve pin-keep  on TDIPT tonight....

Last is a picture of my best buddy Jaxon...When he got here this morning he thought it would be a good idea to have me paint his face like a bunny, then he came down stairs in bunny ears....Who is going to make me laugh when he goes to school in three weeks???? I am really going to miss him...
That is all the news I have for today....Thanks so much for your kind comments they make my day...
I hope you are enjoying your summer....

Is It Ever To Early For A Fun Pumpkin???

I hope it isn't to early for pumpkins...I couldn't wait any longer....I never want summer to end, but I really needed a orange and black fix....I know I am like a lot of you out there in blog land that love Halloween and fall decorations....I don't think there is anything better than a good pumpkin...
I went to the fabric store, filled my basket with shades of orange, gold, green and black floss with a little purple thrown in just for fun and have been punching every since...
My first love is cross stitch I always have to cross stitch a little something in between all my other handwork loves...Hallow's Eve pattern is from Primitive Betty...
Last is my wool pumpkin penny pillow...
One other thing that got me started on Halloween, I have a huge pile of great fall cotton fabrics and wools that were just sitting in my sewing room wanting to be used....So of course I gave in..

These are the items I am listing on Early Work Mercantile later today...If you have the time stop by and take a look at all the fun handwork...

That is all I have for today....
Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind comments they make my day.....
Take care,

Water Melons, Crows and One last Flag...

I have been enjoy the afternoons stitching in the back yard while the grand-kids play in the water and eat Popsicle.....Summer doesn't get much better than that...
I just love watermelons the first watermelon I made is punched needled sitting on a old door knob with a crow on top...I used six strands of floss and a medium needle it eats up a ton of floss but I love the way the colors mix together...

Next is my old crow on a dried sunflower as you can tell I was in a real primitive mood the day I made him...Also My dear husband was really excited to see that I was using some of the dried sunflowers I have had hanging in the garage....Wait until he realizes that I just hung a ton of lavender in his garage today.....

I had to punch one more flag...I just love red white and blue....

Last is a watermelon pillow...with a patch work back, three wool watermelons and flowers...These are the item I a am listing on TDIPT tonight....If you have the time stop by to take a look at all the fun summer offering that will be posted...Thanks so much for your kind comments they make my day...
I hope you are having plenty of time to stitch under the shade of your favorite tree.....
Take care,
Nancy

Summer has been off to a good start....I haven't been able to sew as much as I would like to, we have had lots of company and tons of fun around here...I thought I would share a few of the things I have been working on for Early Work Mercantile...
For summer I just love stars, stripes, red, white and blue..First of is a star table runer...I had all
of these great pieces of different wools, I love the way it turned out...I think this would look great left out all summer...

Next is this Americana pin-keep with a punch needle pocket...

Last is Beitris with her arms full of fire crackers and a flag already to party on the 4th...I made three of them...Two already have good homes...But one is still looking for a home....Maybe tonight she will find one....

That is all for me.....Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind comments they make my day...
Take care and enjoy the 4th,

I Am Ready to Play...

I am ready to play !!!! my yard is all planted and in shape...Now I am waiting for school to be out, then the grand kids and I can spend our time at the lake with a picnic....The best part for me is watching the kids play sitting under a big shade tree stitching and eating treats...Life doesn't get much better than that...
I have managed  to stitch a few items in between planting flower and pulling weeds...First off is my punch needle hanging strawberry...I also love the 4th of July....I leave up my red white and blue decoration all summer long...I thought a America pin-keep would be a fun idea..I absolutely love the fabric I used on the back...I also used the same fabric on the Americana bag below..

I have been designing like crazy...The designs in this post come from Moon Pie Primitives..If my computer skills were better I would have these design in pattern form....But, thanks to my daughter Mary who is home for a while in between semester at school (might I add she has great computer skills) I just might get some of my design in pattern form....Keep your fingers crossed for me...These are also my offering for Early Work Mercantile tonight..If you have the time I would love it if you could stop by to  take a look...

As always your kind comments make my day...
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Nancy

I Love The Weather We Are Having...

All I can say is WOW....We are having great spring weather....Beautiful blue skies  warm temperatures not a bit of rain...We even ate outside on Mother's day, it is usual a bit cold for me to eat outside this early in the year...I have to say my day couldn't have been better...I hope yours was the same...I have been spending most of my time outside digging in the dirt...But I did find a little time to stitch a couple of thing for TDIPT for the 15 Th of May...
First is my Liberty Bag....I just love to stitch flags this time of year....My design is adapted from a Stacy Nash design

Next is my  Peacock farm Pillow this is one of my designs...Like I told you in my last post I can't seem to put down my punch needle...I have three more designs I am working on...Punch needle is so easy to take with me when I am out and about it fills all the extra little minute I have watching swimming lessons or waiting to pick up the grand-kids..

Last  is a sampler pillow I designed for a wonder person I met out there in blog land...I have to say this is my favorite thing to do...I love to personalize my stitching...My friend loves strawberries, her daughter loves sunflowers, her son loves to fish and the little birds are for her husband...She as a dog she love and a very dear cat the has passed away....She also love the color red ...

That is about it for me...I have to get back outside before the rain comes back...I need to get all my plant planted because they will love it when the rain is back and I never complain that it is to green in Western Washington...

Thanks so much for all your kind comments they make my day...
Take care,
Nancy
